AnswersHow do I download my first eBook title? Make sure you have the correct version of Adobe Acrobat. ZPG titles work with the English-language version of Adobe's free Acrobat Reader software. Windows users need version 4.05c, Mac users need version 4.05a. You can download this software from the following location: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. If you are still having trouble downloading your new eBook title, Adobe's Acrobat Update may help users with Acrobat 4.05 or 4.05a and Acrobat Business Tools 4.05 or 4.05a. You can download the the Acrobat 4.05a Update1 (for Mac users) or Acrobat 4.05 Update 2 (for Windows users) from the following location: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/main.html. What are the minimum system requirements to download a title from ZPG?
I use Windows NT or 2000. What do I need to do? To install Abobe's Acrobat Reader version 4.05c, you must have administrator privileges on your computer. If you're using your home machine, this shouldn't be a problem, but you might need help from your IT department if you're buying and downloading eBooks from work. I use Windows NT or 2000, when I click Add to Your Cart, Buy, or Download, I see a blank page. How do I order from ZPG? ZPG values your privacy. To secure your information, we use the highest level of encryption (128 bit) to protect your personal and credit card information. Windows 2000 users without 128 bit encryption can download Service Pack 1 from the following location: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/. Click Product Updates to see a list of available updates for your computer. Select Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 or High Encryption Pack for Windows 2000. Installing either of these downloads will enable you to order from ZPG. I use a Mac. What do I need to do? Mac users need the English language version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader, 4.05a. You can download this software from the following location: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. I connect to the Internet with America Online. What do I need to do? At this time, we do not support the America Online browser. However, if you connect to the Internet using America Online, simply download the Netscape browser from this location: http://home.netscape.com/download/index.html. I use WebTV. Can I download eBook titles? As a set-top receiver, WebTV can only retrieve email and Web pages, it cannot download software or eBook PDF files like a personal computer. Do I need any additional software to view my titles? ZPG stores titles as PDF files. PC users will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.05c or higher, Mac users will need version 4.05a to view and print the titles you download. This software is freely available and widely distributed by Adobe. You can download Acrobat Reader or upgrade to the current version at these links so you never have to worry about accessing your titles. Do I need any special hardware or device to read my titles? No. Titles can be displayed and printed using Acrobat Reader (see also Do I need any additional software to view my titles?). How do I purchase titles the first time? For every title, you'll see a [Buy] or [Add this to your cart] button. When you click that button you'll be able to review your shopping cart, enter your credit card information and submit your order. Then we'll process your credit card and when you click Download, we'll download the title to your computer. Once I purchase a title, can I email it and read it on another computer? Yes, you can email it and read it on another computer owned by you. It is illegal to make multiple copies of the books and distribute them to colleagues or place the book on an electronic device where multiple users may use or view it.
